The winter isn’t over yet, so it is perhaps premature to announce a better-than-expected flu season nationwide. But early indicators suggest this may be a mild season for chronic flu sufferers, and possibly an (ahem) shot in the arm for the scientists who choose and manufacture our flu vaccine each year.
If the pattern holds, you can rest easy in the knowledge that no major influenza waves are headed your way in the coming months. But that doesn’t mean you should consider yourself immune from the flu, or that other seasonal maladies aren’t coming. As always, the important thing is to practice good hygiene, get rest, and see an expert ENT if you experience any symptoms that last more than a few weeks. Even if everything looks so far so good.
